I'm not impressed by Baylors win at Houston, since the Cougs have also lost to Prairie View A&M this year. Otherwise I agree with you. Do you still think we are going to go 7-3 in our OOC games?

It’s possible, but not likely. I wasn’t aware that some of these teams (Oral Roberts, San Diego) were as good as they appear to be and I didn’t know that Hopkins was going to be this bothered by the injury.
I thought we would lose at Tech, at Wake Forest, and at UNLV, and that we had a very good shot at winning the rest....7-3.
If we can win at Oral Roberts, which I think is our toughest OOC game remaining, 7-3 is still doable. The healthy of Hopkins and Voc will determine that.

Wake also gave UConn a good scare before fading at the end. That's a very dangerous team.

I agree that ORU is a tough team, I've always said that, but right now they may not be the toughest. Keep an eye on San Diego, and a guy named Jason Keep who transferred there from Oklahoma State. Very little was expected from San Diego this year, because their best player graduated, but that was before Keep threw down 30 points and grabbed 16 rebounds against UCLA. Keep was just a role player at OSU, but he went through the Bruins defense like it wasnt there, and hasnt slowed down much since. Keep, power forward Jason Blair, and freshman backup center Nick Lewis are all averaging double figures in points, and all shooting better than 50% from the field (Keep is almost 70%). They may have the strongest inside game of any of the teams coming to Moody this year.

PX, is Hopkins injury one that will heel with time and rest or is it something that will require him to play through the pain and have surgery after the season?

If its just a pull or strain, rest, ice and time are the cure. Surgery isnt a question unless there's a tear.

Hmmm. I'd almost like to see them rest him until conference play starts and see if he can heal completely.

Keep in mind, that BU game was in Houston and we were without our best player, Lawrence Roberts. Oh, and that P View team you're laughing at, played OU pretty tough in Norman.

See you in a few weeks.

I know Prairie View is closer to respectable this year, and I have followed Lawrence Roberts injury situation closely, but none of that was the point. Houston is 0-3 and their other loss was a blowout to Rice on their homecourt. I'm not going too far out on a limb here when I say that beating Houston isnt that impressive. I didnt say Baylor wasnt good, I know a great deal about their personnel, but I just dont think beating Houston is quite comparable to beating UCLA.

Arkansas lost to Troy State tonight, at home. That win is starting to lose some of its luster, as well.
