Can't make up for not having them last night. It's going to take time to click.

We never played one dribble with Mudiay. We do not miss him we just do not have him. We do not have Jordan or Kobe either. But it appears it will take a little bit to get into the floe with the new groupings.

Some were saying that we would be better without Mudiay though and that we would be just as good without MK.

what exactly is your point? it's no mystery that we would be better a team with EM and/or MK. 99% of people on here knew that going into the season..

how profound. We also missed layups, rebounds, assists, and outside shots.

Thank SMU for making MK ineligible. We really miss him down low - SMU will never take the next leap in athletic success until we stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

From what a lot of people said, he had not turned in a paper from summer school which ended in mid-August. If that's true, he did get almost an extra 3 months to write something to turn in.

It's always good to have more dogs, but missing Mudiay( or Josiah Turner lol) & MK isn't the reason we lost or will lose. The simple fact is that we have assembled as much talent as we could, as fast as we could. In many cases, that means taking high ceiling athletes and figuring them out later. Larry Brown and crew coach them up and let them loose. So far, results are great, we're all very happy despite being exposed on Monday. SImply, we're going to win a bunch, cause we have horses. That said, we aren't assembled like a team. We have 4 or 5 guys that command time, that bring almost the identical thing to the table, and shooting isn't one of them. This, from positions that are supposed to score.

Am I correct that MK is the only player on the roster who has not maintained eligibility? At what point does he bear some responsibility for that? After all, it appears that every one of his teammates got the job done academically.

SMU ain't exactly Harvard. MK should have been able to stay eligible. That one isn't on the school, it's on him.

This is an interesting point. Thanks for bringing it up, Hoopmanx. Do you think we got some of those pieces we need in the Class of 2015 (so far)? It's obvious we need a big man, but do you think we at least addressed our need for guys who can score with guys like Shake, etc.?
