SMU and the zone

Larry Brown has forgot more about basketball than I know, however, for the life of me I don't understand the game plan. IU is a good outside shooting team and weak underneath, I'm sorry play good in your face man to man on them and that game is won by the Mustangs. I admit I'm new to SMU hoops as last year was the first year I ever followed them so maybe that's how they play D, this game was frustrating as heck to watch because SMU is the better team, they lost because they failed to defend the 3. Anyways, SMU is darn good and will make the tourney but this one angers me!
