BHopBHop got 11 minutes last night. I found that surprising since they said he would be out at least 3 games, with the possibility of red-shirting. I didn't listen to much of the game but I did hear the trainer interviewed at halftime. He seemed to indicate that the injury wasn't very serious and was more of a groin strain that a hip flexor injury, with no tears involved. It would be great news to get him back at near 100%. We need some great news. A healthy BHop would make this season a lot more enjoyable.
Re: BHopA groin strain and hip flexor can be the same injury. The Iliopsoas muscle is the major flexor of the hip joint and its located at the top of the anterior thigh, attaching to the proximaal end of the femoral shaft. ie. its in your groin.
I didnt hear the interview, but I dont understand how the injury can be called not serious when it has lingered for 2 1/2 months.
