What kind of donation do you have to give to be able to have access to the Miller Club?

The kind of donation that would make a pre-game meal at Al biernat's for each home game a better value.

Can't really worry about that right now.....way too many unknowns with the basketball program.

True I was just confused by an earlier post claiming corner nosebleeds at 500 a seat...

Well to me the best thing is allowing $1000 MC donation to be credited for both FB and BB. I will have my FB tickets and they require $1000. So I need no more donation for my 209 seats. Still need to figure if $500 is justifiable for the seats when I can only make one or 2 games a year, but at least it is not as steep as it could have been.

I agree. Mine do as well and we were seriously considering giving up football. Especially if we were going to be bumped without first right of refusal when we got good

SMU now requiring a mustang club donation per seat and pricing out the young alums (who could previously afford to buy tickets together in a block, with only 1 donation) who have been season ticket holders for 3+ years, in favor of deep-pocketed fairweather fans (likely the same ones who poured out of the stadium between regulation and OT in the UCSB game). My ticket was $90 last year, $250 this year, and going to be $500 next year, and we haven't even made the tournament yet.

You can move to season tickets at $180 a seat.

yes, lets move the loud fans further away from the court...

Meh. I'm plenty loud and I'll be glad to have better seats next year.

Everybody seemed to be on board with hiring an expensive football coach, an expensive basketball coach, on extending benefits to student/athletes, and keeping up with TCU. Where do you think that money is going to come from. Santa Claus. Get used to it.

As I've been saying for a few years-we're going to find out just how much SMU fans want to compete at the highest level-SMU athletics will be just as good as the level SMU fans are willing to fund it.

Amen. Big boy sports ain't cheap and our smaller base has to pay for it if we want to compete. That means paying big boy prices for season tickets, showing up to the games, and bringing people with you. We can't live off the generosity of the big donors indefinitely.

It is funny though, the email I received about the changes came from... The Mustang Club.

Ha - great point. I hadn't even thought about that...

I didn't notice it, but I assume they sent it from the MC since there is a charitable donation component to the changes, so it's still in line with what smusic laid out.
