really don't want to give up Brendan wright... 2nd round draft pick and one of our 9231294 PG's should be sufficient. it's rondo's last year of his contract so hes basically a rental

Hey, I love Brandan. He has been outstanding for us but if you can get an elite PG for a backup center and picks, done deal. The Mavs have never valued draft picks under Donnie anyway. And you say that Rondo is a rental, so is B Wright. He's an unrestricted free agent after the season, too.

On paper, Rondo is exactly what we need: perimeter defense and someone who can distribute to our shooters/throw lobs to Tyson. The thought of him on this team makes me giddy. My only concern is that this team has great chemistry and I don't want to do anything to mess that up, but I feel like Rondo would love to get back to winning any way he can.
I would try to hold on to Brandan Wright if it all possible, he's been a beast this year, but if we need to give him up so be it. I would preferably give up any one (or two) of our billion point guards and whatever draft picks they wanted, the Mavs never build through the draft anyway (since Dirk).
Rondo, Monta, Parsons, Dirk, and Tyson is a starting lineup that I could actually see winning the NBA championship. As of right now I love watching our team play and I think we could advance in the playoffs, but I think Rondo puts us over the top.
Come on Cubes, make it happen.
