It may be because their down but Moody is louder and our crowd is better. Their place seem dead and even when they made Tshirt charge it just didn't have the same energy as Moody. Of course we aren't Indiana or OSU, but I expected the crowd to be more of a factor. SMU beating them the most of the game helps.

All the midwest schools are like that for out of conference games. Doesn't even have much to do with who they're playing. Just the way it is. The Cuse game was louder but not much a few weeks back at Crisler. Once B10 play rolls around, that place is deafening. Also doesn't help that 1/2 the fan base doesn't know who SMU is, no offense and I hope people on the board know I'm not trying to be offensive. There's just a lot of the young generation that doesn't even know that SMU was extremely good in football at one time, just reality.

Either way, I enjoyed watching SMU kick scUM's [deleted]. Sat right near the SMU bench, LB is still barking out orders like he's 40. I did not expect his voice to be so strong out there to be honest, been a couple years since I've been within earshot for a game of his.

We gotta get you down to a game in Moody. One of my fav things is hearing LB constantly barking and teaching.

All true. Christmas - little known opponent - non conference - they are in a down year. It's a big game for us and not for them.

My perception is prejudiced by how big a game it was for us. So great to beat them on their floor.

Wouldn't have thought 5 years ago that SMU basket ball would ever be beating the likes of UCONN, Memphis, Cinci, Michigan on any floor. We have indeed come a long way.

Thank you Larry Brown.

I won't lie that I was thinking in the first couple of minutes that I expected the atmosphere to be better.

The reasons for it being bleh are obvious, but still expected better just because it's Michigan etc.

Oh well. Winner winner!

We talked to some of the UM athletics folks. Only 500 of 3000 student tix were claimed. This was not representative of a full crowd but it got loud when it got close.

Moody definitely gets louder than the game I was at today.

It's hard to rip the Michigan crowd for the same things we use as excuses for our crowd.

But we are SMU - we suck.

A couple other observations. Crisler was remodeled same time as Moody. SMU had much better stat boards. You couldn't find player stats anywhere in the building outside of points and fouls. Drained my phone on espn looking up stats.

Also, our opening is a lot cooler except for the blue tint camera in their tunnel.

Good to hear. Thanks for the reports. I like seeing how Moody stacks up.

Moody ended up being so good after the remodel. Can hardly think of a thing to complain. The Theater lighting is also very cool both in person and on TV-like icing on the cake.
