"Signature" in a historical context only. KU is the 3rd or 4th (at best) in b12 this year. Should Temple have stormed the court if they beat ISU or OU?? Frankly either would have been a better win.

I wish we could play ourselves. We have the highest RPI in the American.

Edit: I just noticed EWU has an RPI of 40. I am college basketball stupid. How is this possible?

I am guilty of usually only thinking about Cincinnati and Connecticut as threats to win The American ahead of us, but that is obviously shortsighted with Temple stepping it up big time this season.

AAC is 5-0 so far tonight. Two tough ones coming up though - Houston/Boise and Tulane/#13 Washington.

“@LifeofFitz: Elitist KU fans complaining about Temple's court storming.

Anyway, I wonder what happened to those goalposts after KU beat Iowa State.”

That is interesting. They have won the Big 12 for 10 years in a row I think. You say they are not even in the top 2? Self always seems to have them ready to play when conference play starts.

Yes, it has been 10, but there won't be 11. This team is missing that critical big man and a true PG. My guess is they have a solid year, and maybe make it out of the first weekend, but no b12 title and a stubbed toe in the tourney. What's just as bad, with this crew they're going to embarrass America next summer.

They were ranked in the top 10 going into this game. If that is not a signature win, then we might as well cancel SMU hoops as we will never get a signature win against Kentucky. The only team ranked higher in the Big XII today is Texas at #9. There is still a lot of time left in the season, but as of now that is definitely a signature win. Beating Kansas and beating Michigan will definitely help our conference. Too bad we laid an egg against IU.
