So Seth Davis moved us to #23 from not being in his top 40 last week? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I imagine if we beat Cincinnati and Tulsa next week, we will be ranked in the top 20.

There's no way that's current. Texas at #19 and Baylor at #21 right after BU beat them by a crap load? Ditto with Wichita State at #14 and Northern Iowa at #18.

It was put online yesterday, so I'm confused too. But you're right, it can't be current.

Yeah, if you read his write-up, it's clear it's outdated: Highlights from the ballot ...*** The top two remained the same (Kentucky, Virginia), but there'a a new No. 3.I moved Kansas into the third spot -- up two from last week -- after the Jayhawks beat Oklahoma (home) and Texas (road, by double digits).Gonzaga, which had been slotted third, dropped one position, a move largely due to the mediocre West Coast Conference.(I wasn't overly impressed by the 21-point victory over Saint Mary's. The Zags were favored by 15 and are clearly the class of the WCC.)*** Notre Dame was the biggest riser in the top half of the ballot, climbing five spots, to No. 6, after another stellar week.To a resume that already featured victories over Michigan State, North Carolina and Miami, the Irish added road wins over Virginia Tech and N.C. State. The former doesn't mean much, but the latter carries weight: The Irish won where Duke lost.Overall, Notre Dame is 19-2/7-1, the losses coming to Providence by one point and Virginia by six. Its successis one reason I added Providence to the ballot this week. That win by the Friars looks better and better. The Irish play Duke on Wednesday, by the way.*** Villanova dropped from the 4-hole all the way to No. 10 after an, ahem, 20-point loss at Georgetown. The Hoyas aren't bad -- they're atop the Big East and on the ballot this week following four consecutive wins -- but it was a blowout loss that could have been worse (Nova was down 26 early in the second half).*** Removed from the ballot this week: Oklahoma, Dayton, Oklahoma State, Indiana, San Diego State and Iowa.*** Added to the ballot this week: Georgetown, Baylor, Wyoming, Miami, Ohio State and Providence.

We haven't really done that well once in the top 25 the past couple of years, but if we do get back in this week what an opportunity to make a statement to the country Thursday night on ESPN as a ranked team in what should be a packed and rowdy Moody.
