Other conference tournaments

My favorite time of the sports year. I love the small conference tournaments. Several are underway tonight. Also, the first ticket will get punched Friday night - Harvard vs. Yale. I'd like to see Yale win since we're playing them next season.

Good thread. There's been a bit of disagreement around here about whether to root for AAC game outcomes that may help the league get more bids, but may hurt SMU's shot at the regular-season crown. Well, here's something everyone can do: when a conference has only a single team with a tournament-worthy RPI, root for them to win their conference tourney, thereby avoiding taking up at-large bids that could go to American teams.

Yale beat Harvard last night to win the Ivy. They have punched the first ticket. We can add another tourney team to next year's schedule.

ESPN is saying Yale is playing Dartmouth for the title today. If they lose and Harvard wins there is a playoff. I am so confused.

Ivy League doesn't have a tournament. Yale leads the conference by 1 game, but if Dartmouth beats Yale and Harvard wins, they will be tied. The only tie-breaker in the Ivy is a 1-game playoff.

I know, but LA says Yale punched their ticket last night. Thus my confusion.

My bad. I thought I heard on ESPN that the winner of last night's game is the conference champ. I guess that only applied to Harvard.

Well then I am no longer confused. At least about that. Women still leave me wondering often.

Interesting that the Ivy League plays conference games on Friday and Saturdays only. I guess they don't want to get in the way of studies and stuff. Isn't it rare that any school plays on consecutive nights?

BTW, sorry about the premature ticket punch.

That is what really confused me. They played last night then again tonight. I kept looking to see if I was seeing the ladies schedule.
