Do what works. We should be racking up fouls and free throws. Kills the transition game of the other team.

We don't shoot the three much, but our percentage is actually like 66th in the country last I looked, which is not bad.

And Nic can hit the dagger like nobody's business when needed. Well, unless he's wearing a Boatright shirt.

Teams that get hot from 3 are a problem for anyone. Plus UCONN had their worst FT shooter go off on us.

This was not a personnel problem. Nic had a tough shooting night with or without a Boatright shirt.

I suspected with I saw the headline that it was going to be a Keith Fraser story, and it was, at least initially.

We just needed to run our offense better. We can not worry about what we do not have.

Let's keep in my Keith Frazier hit only 33% of his 3s.

If SMU plays a team like Gonzaga or Arkansas that has solid bigs plus 3 point shooters, it will hurt us - but it is all about matchups - hopefully we will not face a team like that until the Sweet 16...

It would be interesting to know how many 3 point plays with a bucket and a foul shot SMU has made-if we could hit a foul shot. I bet its still higher than all those hot shot 3 point shooting teams-plus you get the opponent in foul trouble. Nic can hit it. I think Sterling should look for it. Otherwise, I'd prefer to take the ball inside. I'd love to recruit a 3 point stud though

From what I've seen, both Sed and Shake can shoot 3s. Knowing Sed, he's got great mechanics and can knock it down regularly - not sure their %s.

I believe Shake is a very good 3-point shooter.

Yeah, next year our weakness won't be lack of shooters/ball handlers. Maybe rebounding and interior D could be.

I'm not sure of that. I think we still have some good defenders. Moreria and Cunningham are good rim defenders but I'm not so sure they are otherwise better defenders than the guys who will play in their place

Tolbert averaged 6 boards a game for Tech last year. Semi should be another solid rebounder. I think Ben Moore has the ability to be a solid help side shot blocker.

I don't think there will be much dropoff in rebounding. B.Moore is a better rebounder than Canaan right now

I love the title of their article. As if a lack of 3 pt threats ever helped a team.

SMU takes less 3 point shots than just about every team in the country
SMU's opponents take more 3 point shots than against just about every team in the country
Yet SMU is 23-6 and 1 victory away from No. 1 seed, Top 25 team
I'd argue a 3 point play with a bucket and foul shot is more valuable than a 3 point basket
That is SMU's strategy
