Even IF it happened, a 2-6 point deficit at home in the first three minutes of the game is hardly insurmountable. Heck, how long did SMU trail in the Temple, Tulsa, etc. games?

We really do start every game feeding Ben Moore the ball and he proceeds to miss 2-3 shots in the first two minutes. I don't really think it matters. We rarely score in the first 2 mins because of this very weird strategy that I have yet to figure out.

One of my biggest beefs with Schellas is that I didn't even get to play in my last game at SMU. It still sticks in my craw 28 years later.
Hope they do and the crowd will appreciate it. LB doesn't use many timeouts anyway, so he could get them in and out and recognized without compromising the game.

How about we just blow Tulsa out, put all 5 seniors in with 5 left when we're up by 30, let Ryan run the point and just post Muiday and Dunleavy in the corner and let them jack up all the 3's they want?
I think that's the best plan.

Brown will start all the seniors and as well he should. Manual and Yanick are starters anyways and CC is starter caliber (has had a much better second half of the season than Ben Moore in my opinion). If starting KD and JMM, and playing them the first minute of the game, causes us to lose against Tulsa at home for all the marbles... then we didn't deserve to win the conference anyway.
LB preaches playing the right way, and he will coach the right way here too. All Senior starting lineup.

I like this plan.
Texas bites. Baylor sucks. As it was in the beginning, is now, and evermore shall be. Amen.

This is kind of what I'm thinking.

LB has to start the seniors...RM will handle the first few possessions and then starters will sub in and we will have a lead or be tied

He absolutely does not have to start the seniors. That is crazy. This could be a 2 pt game - you don't play around with a conference championship.

...and then we all find out that Dunleavy is money on threes and is the missing outside shooter we've been searching for, propelling us to new heights.

True. I doubt the first two minutes would be any different regardless of who starts.

So people are up in arms about a few lyrics to a fight song being wrong given that it's such a part of SMU tradition, but we can't start the seniors even though that's a tradition? I guess there's a double standard here.
