Drummin' cowboy

Nice look at the '70s night last night. Kind of like the illegitimate lovechild of Jeff Spicolli and Danny Bonaducci. A little frightening, but entertaining anyway.

Bring back the hat.

Funny thing is those are my normal clothes.

And be happy I still wear that hat... Image

Love the hat and your enthusiasm. Great job on the drums. Even one of my TCU friends (yes I have some) got a kick out of watching you dance and beat those drums...keep it up!!

Thanks, I really do appreciate it. Music is definitely one of my passions, so I can't help myself.

We watch you every game. Some of my associates may be the most difficult people on the planet to get a laugh out of. HOWEVER, there is universal admiration for you when you play.

Hell, whatever you're doing I need some of...

I don't even get that from my so-called friends!!

Somehow, I find the strength to go on living...

Did our man drop one of his sticks last night? For a while it looked like he was goin' Def Leppard, playing one-handed....

Great job - AGAIN - Cowboy!

Hey Jonas. Love to watch you, and am hoping you have an apprentice/pretege you are training for when you must inevitably (unless you're Alex) depart the Mustang Band. But just FYI, I'm pretty sure I was The Diamond M before you graduated high school, maybe middle school. In old Mustang Band tradition, you ought to respect your elders.

Jonas,

My 8-year old nephew will be attending his second SMU basketball game this Saturday, in large part to watch the SMU Band and specifically you (he asked for tickets near the band).

I saw you earlier this season and was thoroughly entertained. Keep up the great work.

DiamondM, I trust your admonishing of Drummin' Cowboy was with tongue planted firmly in cheek. Or should Kevin Garrett bow to Mark Martinez (early 1990s DB) because Garrett was so brash as to wear Martinez's old jersey number?

That's OK, I know you're kidding with Jonas. It's not the Old Mustang Band any more, right?

Keep up the great work, Cowboy.

1. Of course it was tounge in cheek.
2. I meant to say "protege."
3. Most of my elders don't think I was even part of the "Old" Mustang Band. Being post-DP, we had it comparatively easy, but we still adhered to "policy."
