All English vs. All American

Postby Hoop Fan » Sun Feb 09, 2003 4:09 pm

Sorry for the bad pun, but how great was the Q last night? Carl English is a hell of a player. Q was better. That was one of the more well played games I have seen at Moody in a while. Both teams played strong defense, but both team hit shots anyway. Hopkins is finally taking the ball strong to the basket, and got the dunk finally although it was not up to his standards yet. It was great to see something from K Lowe...the way it looks now he is the Q's replacement in the starting lineup next year. We have alot of points and intangibles to replace.

Q put on a great performance last night... It's frustrating to see how many times down the court he doesn't touch the ball at all... we would go stretches of 5 or 6 minutes without getting it to him... we need to get him a touch every trip down the court.

They are both great players, and both should make it to the NBA. Unlike so many scorers (read: "dunkers") who view themselves as NBA-ready, these two guys do the things that coaches want but so many players don't do: they defend, they pass, they rebound. We were treated last night to the two best players the WAC has to offer. Good luck to both.
