First Lubin, now Samuel.

I've felt like those two were subs at best but depth hurt them last year. It may hurt hem this year too.

Lubin was sparingly used as a body to use some fouls and was never going to see extended minutes for UConn. He was recruited over with 4 star Steve Enoch, this is not a big loss.

Samuel leaving has mixed opinions from the UConn faithful, he was an important part of the national championship run and was a very good on ball defender. He excelled with floor spacers like shabazz, Giffey and Daniels on the floor. Without those spacers on the floor the defense could play loose and force him to shoot. he never made a 3 pointer in his 2 year career at UConn, simply unacceptable for a guard. He had a poor Assist: TO ratio and didn't finish particularly well. With 5 star Jalen Adams coming in as a lead guard, he would still be a reserve and many are saying this transfer is related to Sterling Gibbs coming to UConn..we will see..
