2015-16 American Opponents Announced

Postby DanFreibergerForHeisman » Wed May 20, 2015 11:07 am

Interesting. It's a shame we only get Temple once for our RPI.

No home game against Temple really sucks.

Seems Cincy, UConn and Memphis got the best deals. So the best team in the conference gets screwed?

In an ideal world, we would get ECU and USF only once, and that's what Uconn got. Guess they're trying to keep them as happy as possible (makes sense).

I think UCF will be better this year, so I'd rather have them twice than some of the other bottom feeders.

While last year they made a clear effort to have the top teams only play the bottom teams once, my understanding is that there is some rotation so that is not going to hold every year. There will be some year where we do not play UConn twice for example, if I understand correctly.

I'm sure their fans are just as annoyed that they're only playing us once (even though we beat them up last year). I mean hell, if a team with an RPI of 34 can't get into the tourney, they need all the RPI help they can get.

Dumb scheduling by the AAC. Screw "fairness", we need to build our brand.

Exactly. I thought the original point of the unbalanced scheduling was to help the RPI of the top teams.

Who cares if you end up playing a team only once quite a few times until they show some competency?

Our conference continually gets screwed by the NCAA and we need to do all we possibly can to make this stop.

We'll keep getting hosed until we get someone on the committee. Basically until ESPN thinks it worth [deleted] about us not having someone there. Aresco doesn't seem to have a whole lot of backbone...

SMU, UConn, Cincinnati, Memphis and Temple should all play each other twice.

On the bright side, at least we don't have to play on that terrible UCF court this season.
