A sizable minority are attacking Nichols for being "classless" and "disrespecting" his teammates.

Most say this is the final straw for CJP, barring a deep NCAA run next season.

Jeez. Take him to the strip club or something. Problematic girlfriends are a killer for college athletes unless the breakup pisses them off and turns them into a sports machine.

Sports talk chatter is his family never wanted him to play for Pastner. GF and watching Duke (where he had an offer) players go high in the NBA draft combined to push him over the edge.

BTW, he is the 7th player in 12 months to leave the program :roll:

ALSO, UofM has thus far refused to grant him a release. He made the request 7 or 8 days ago.

What is the problem with Pastner? He seems to recruit top athletes, and then they all bail after a year or two. Is there something documented about his personality, coaching style, or something like that? Just curious. Seems like maybe he's the type of guy who seems great when he's recruiting you, but then reality sets in.
