[deleted] Pat Force. With that said, perception is reality and this won't look good to recruits at a critical juncture. But long run not a big deal....just announce the slap on the wrist and let's go

Once again...the whole known and dealt with is great until you accept that you are dealing with the NCAA and with teenagers and vampire programs. You can tell a teenager all you want regarding "we know what you hear but don't worry, all will be fine" but you know other coaches are telling them "they are going down...they even got the death penalty once." This impacts recruits and it impacts perception. That fact sucks, but it is a fact. Needs to get done and over with, officially, because when you see this anywhere right now it makes an impact on more than just basketball.

Hope it's not true but everyone knew when he was hired that something like this was possible.

And you have to deal with more crap like this.

Frazier has been exponentially more trouble off the court than he's produced on the court.

Louisville Cardinals people on Twitter are particularly gleeful about all of this for some reason.

"If you're not cheatin you're not tryin -Eddie Guerrero". Who made up the term "lack of coach control"? Is that some thing they fabricated to sound like a good news headline?

Shouldn't Forde be spending his time on something more important than SMU. I heard that powder blue team in North Carolina has some issues.

Because they now have a weak comeback for "down my leg" chants?

I'm with FIFTY on this. Never heard of "lack of coach control" before.

Is that what they got Boeheim on?

I also agree that this should be little more than some egg on the face, endure a few jokes and then go out and kick some major tail.

I was surprised by the number of pro-SMU (or maybe they're just anti-NCAA) comments on that article.

Lack of coach control sounds like the NCAA response to their screw-up on PSU and other cases. The coach was the senior person to know about the issue and it was dealt with incorrectly (so say the NCAA), so you charge lack of coach control vs. lack of institutional control.

Really excited to see this scroll across the bottom of the screen every 5 minutes on Fox Sports and ESPN...but I guess any press is good press? Seriously though, hasn't Larry departed each previous time allegations like this have surfaced? Just want this crap to go away but I can't help but feel this is being viewed as an opportunity in NCAA headquarters for a myriad of reasons.
