Well, we aren't UT or A&M so the local media is not going to support us outside a few outliers. Having said that, much of the national media is confused regarding the strength of this and the UNC issue. Should make for some interesting stuff. NCAA will probably delay the results from the eventual appeal until they find a way to ignore UNC without backlash.

If Dale Hansen died tomorrow I'd pay for Westboro Baptist Church to protest his funeral

Him dead would be a cause for celebration. Not sure when we would notice though.

On ESPN's outside the lines, Dale Hanson tried to link this to the 1986 Death Penalty. Thankfully Jay Bilas disagreed, saying he didn't see how someone could link this with something that happened 30 years ago.
And if I ever meet Dale Hanson I'll be sure to ask him if he has the courage to go after U of Texas or Texas A&M with the same zeal he has attacked SMU.
Also, has everyone in the media forgotten than a few months after Penn State was punished for covering up the actions of a pedophile, the sanctions were all removed, ostensibly based on the reasoning that it wasn't fair to punish today's players for violations that occurred in the past.

Well, from one report I have seen the committee accounted for our past sanctions when determining the punishment. That can't be the correct method...outside of any sanction still active.

Dale looked pretty foolish compared to the others and should have no opinion on smu hoops. He sits behind a teleprompter and does nothing.

Not sure why he went after the golf team players when it was the coach who was sanctioned.
