Who else do we have coming in next year, aside from Pearson and Reay (the kid from Plano)?

other guy is Demetric Bennett...

bio: Bennett, a 6-4, 190-lb. guard from Albany, Ga., was a first-team All-State selection as a junior, averaging 24.5 points and 8.9 rebounds while connecting on 44 percent of his three-point attempts. Bennett scored a season-high 46 points in a single-game and has led Monroe High School to a 60-27 record during his three years on Coach James Little's squad. He also attended the Nike All-American Camp and Supershowcase and was tabbed All-Tournament and one of the camp's top shooters for his stellar play. Bennett is ranked #147 nationally in the senior class by Clark Francis' Hoop Scoop, with Francis noting that Bennett is "an athletic 2-guard who should provide the perfect complement in the backcourt to the extremely talented and very athletic Bryan Hopkins."

"Demetric possesses the size and athletic ability to become an outstanding guard at SMU and has already proved himself as one of the top shooters in the country," said Dement.

I'm not sure that Bennett had the same type of senior year as he did his junior year. His best outings that I found were a 34 point game and a 25 point game-Albany didn't meet the high expectations the experts had for them in preseason when Bennett was a First Team All State selection.

Thanks, StangEsq and Stallion. While watching yesterday's win over BSU, I was starting to panic about next year's offense after Q graduates. Maybe Bennett is the answer for some offensive spark? Pearson sounds very capable, by all accounts, but I think we're going to be in need of a pure scorer. Maybe that's Bennett.

The explosive scorer will be Hop. He's more a lead guard than PG in mentality. As long as he's the primary ballhandler, he'll be our first option. Give him summer ball and some time to get his legs back/rehab, and it'll be on. Needs to improve his shot dramatically.

He's a BIG contributor already and he's just getting his feet wet. Once he gets a feel for the college game and what it takes, he'll be dynamic.

Patrick Simpson could be a major force if he could elevate his intensity level. He plays hard, just not nearly assertive enough given his immense talent and touch.
