Hypothetically speaking if we don't appeal (if the seniors transfer it may not be worth it) and try to get through the sanctions as quick as possible then the following could happen:
If the seniors transfer we would be down 5 schollarships for 2015-2016 (down from 10 to 7). We could decide to only fill with walk ons. Consider 2015-2016 a lost cause, redshirt the freshman and any juniors who wish to extend elligibility. We would then move into 2016 with all but 2 schollarship sanctions satisfied. We would have B Moore, KF, Sterling, and Gu as seniors (juniors if they redshirt which all of them are elligible). Semi would be a junior. Then Sed, Shake, and Jarrey as freshman. We would also have 4 schollarships to use after sanctions for recruiting players for that year and 4 more the next. Recruit big men for 2016 promising tons of playing time and fill holes with the rest.
Just a thought. It would be an OK strategy for long term sustainability. For the record I am hoping for an appeal.
