Yeah I happened to read his, too. Why would a sports writer brag about being ignorant? Does he remember the name of the conference the National Champion came from two years ago?

Anyone know the story behind Michigan's loss to UConn? Poor shooting? Foul trouble? Foot out the door for Thanksgiving?
Edit: I see it was in the tournament in the Bahamas. Enough of a distraction with the travel the scenery and prob an empty gym

Looks like 18AP/19 Coaches on the poll right after the conf tournament ended (ie the last poll before NCAA tournament began)

I think it's ridiculous to see the Big 12 with 5 teams in the top 20. Just like last year, it looks like the AP writers want to ensure they get 7 teams in the tourney. I'm also tired of the Big East love as well

I saw one writer from Lansing, MI with a 4-3 Georgetown team in at #23 and no SMU... Georgetown must be on the Michigan State Schedule... And Baylor jumped something like 10 spots up...

Vandy does have tow first round picks, but I don't think they have a great overall team.
They have lost their only games against good competition.
Also, I love your basketball posts LAMustang. I'm a closet Ponyfans basketball reader

People = Vanderbilt Alums Vandy was so over-rated going into this year. Not even a tourney team last year and they start the year in the top 15. They will be exposed in SEC play and will be 0-3 vs top 25 by the time that even starts...

I'm not really sure how to accept a positive response to my posts. I usually get the opposite. Thanks.

SMU was not ranked by 8 voters. Teams directly above and below were not ranked by 7 voters each. The 4 teams above us were not ranked by some voters (2, 3, 5 and 7 voters respectively). All teams below us not ranked by some voters.
Average ranking from the voters who did rank us was 18.9, so right in line with actual ranking.
Feinstein went from not ranking us last week to 15th this week. Pretty sure that had to be the biggest increase. Average ranking from voters who did not rank us last week but did rank us this week was 19.9.
One guy who had us ranked last week did not rank us this week - Richey from East Lansing. Perhaps he wants ammunition to rip Michigan if we beat them or discount their win if they beat us.
And yes, for those worried about it, Vitale was one of the 8 who did not rank us this week.
