Favorite chant from last night..."Harvard re-jects". Of course, we wont talk about what that makes us, but it was humorous nonetheless.

Not sure our moved away colors are better. Our red is used by almost every team that has red and the same for blue. Our red looks just like Nebraska, Wisconsin, Stanford, NC State...etc. nothing distinctive. Same with blue. Maybe we should use our original colors to finally establish our brand.

But, Yale itself uses multiple shade of blue. While the dark blue is very common, there are lighter shades of blue used all the time.

My hockey jersey is a much lighter shade of blue than my diploma.

AMEN.

The "new" SMU colors do not have the "classiness" of the original colors. The new ones are straight off the primary color chart of red, blue and yellow we all learned in grade school. How original of our school's PR consultants to come up with those colors.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Likewise, Yale's SMU blue is not SMU's blue. :D

Typical Turner. Not committed to winning. He's going to try and change the color of the sky before building an IPF.

Turner could careless about SMU athletics. He only puts up with it due to Gerald Ford and David Miller.

If he really cared about sports he would get to his seat in Moody before the national anthem.

Not true re Turner. Talked with both him and Ford at the Navy game and he is very supportive of our athletic program. Turner's first responsibility is to the academic side, but he fully realizes the value of athletics from PR, donations, school recognition, applications...etc. He was also key figure in getting us into the Big East then he was a founding figure in the AAC.
