Semi's taking a redshirt season is probably not going to impact Shake's scoring but even if he can maintain a double digit average, he's going to have a tough time putting up much more than 300 points for the season. This team is just too well balanced and too unselfish for anyone to put up huge numbers. I love the fact that through 9 games we have 6 guys averaging double figures...and that's with Markus sitting at 9.9 ppg

Imagine how much more he would have gotten tonight if they worked the ball to him more in the second half. I think he took all of 2 shots and one was a desperate shot as the time ran out. LB did nothing to get him open looks in the second half-very odd. When a guy is that hot take advantage of it more.

You're welcome. I know LB doesn't like to coach that way but it seemed like a no brainer to me.

Piehler and Allen were two of my all time favorites. They were incredibly fun to watch playing in the backcourt together running Sonny Allen's fast break. Those teams played questionable defense and never made the tournament but some nights they were a joy to watch.

In the first half, Tulsa ran three at Nic and it made Shake wide open. In the second half, they ran three at Shake when he touched the ball. That is why Nic started playing off the ball and went off.

I do think Shake has a good chance of averaging double figures this season and scoring more than 300 points. With Nic gone next year, look for Shake to become our leading scorer and possibly approach 500 points in his Soph year

Having both your 1 and 2 be really reliable shooters when open is really tough to defend when you also have great passing post players. See Louisville year before last.

And the reason Shake had all those open looks also had to do with their fear of our inside game. We discussed this some before the season. The Tulsa game was really the first time this season that our outside shooters carried the day. I can't recall a single alley oop. Tulsa rebounded and defended the paint well.

This is a really positive development as it will make it even harder for an opposing team to prepare for us.
Go ahead...pack it in. Shake, Nic, or any of three others are going to shoot jumpers at 50 percent or better. When they miss there'sca good chance we'll get the rebound.

This is why Gonzaga hammered us last year. You just can't have answers for everything.

Frasier tried an ally oop. It became an ally oops.
