I'm just glad San Diego doesn't have that Jason Keep guy anymore. Without him, we can play with them, even though Q's gone. He was a beast.â€

Any idea who else is playing in the tournaments at Vancouver and Purdue? Never mind, if it had been decided, I guess you would have put it in there.

Anyhoo...Tech and Wake make for some nice home games! Hope we can come close to packing em in for those.

Not bad. I wonder if the Aggies would play us, I know UT won't. We need a good drawing card to replace that series with Appalacian State.

The Vancouver "tournament" is SMU against a group of Canadian teams. They're considered to be exhibition games, and dont count in our won-loss record, or in the RPI.

Purdue, IPFW (Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne) and Miami of Ohio. Dec. 20-21. Right now SMU is supposed to play Miami first, while Purdue opens with IPFW.

Interesting, thanks. Miami, Ohio is a pretty similar school to SMU. Should make for a good matchup. Purdue is damn near impossible to beat in West Lafayette, but it would be great for our guys to play in a Big 10 atmosphere if we can get past Miami.

Miami of OH will be a great test for our guys. They are a quality team that goes to the dance regularly. Quite frankly, we should not be favored in that game.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Miami was very strong when Wally Sczerbiak was there, but they havent been quite that level since he left. They had a young team last year and went 13-15, but they have almost everyone back. They were somewhat inconsistent last season, pulling upsets over Dayton and Central Michigan (CMU had Chris Kaman, they won the MAC, then lost to Duke in the 2nd round of the NCAA's) but they lost their last 4 games to teams beneath them in the standings, and got bounced out of their conference tournament in the first round. They usually play a very tough OOC schedule, last years included Purdue, Maryland, Butler, Xavier, Dayton, and Cinncinatti.
