Well he finally committed to Duke today. With our program now rivaling Dukes' it is a wonder why he never gave us a look.

Fine, except his real name is Marion Morrison. An alumni of my high school.

Go Ponies!

I know I keep harping on this but WHY NOT?

The guy got one freaking minute against NC (No Classes) yesterday. At one point he was a projected lottery pick and now? Being at Duke hurt this guy like it hurt Semi. The major difference is that Bolden is FROM Dallas. He'd have to sit a year but would it be a good career move for him?

If he could come and thrive at SMU like Semi has, it would give us a major selling point to use in recruiting against Duke and other blue bloods

Just watched the ESPN replay of yesterday's interview with Larry Brown, talked about changing Semi's game. When he got here he was in love with his jump shot, had to get him to go to the basket, handle the ball etc. He obviously got some attention here he wasn't getting at Duke.

Coach K has the luxury of recruiting 4 and 5 star players to fit his system whereas Jank has had to figure out how to play to get the most from the talent he has on his roster. Another reason Jank should get serious consideration for Coach of the Year and not just in the AAC

I mentioned in another thread at one of lb's practices he told him anybody can do that after his perdy jump shot - "I need somebody that can drive to the rim"

I bet like Semi did, Bolden sticks it out another year, unless they get Mo Bamba then he might see the writing on the wall.

What a tough choice for kids with talent. Do you tansfer and sit out a year knowing you'll be the main man eventually AFTER spending freshman year buried on the bench or do you risk spending a second year buried after getting recruited over again?
