played #17 Stanford very tough yesterday. They were up 8 at the half but ended up lossing 60-56. Stanford coach Mike Montgomery said that Rice is a very good defensive team and that they contest every shot.

They will be tough come conference time.

Rice is tough. I wish we would have recruited that kid from Hillsboro with the fro.
