Not necessarily. We just need to play much, much faster and more aggressively like we did in the second half. Don't catch dribble, dribble, think, pass. Either penetrate, move it, or shoot. Next guy to jab step gets benched.

Are you sure? What real outside shooters do we have?

Desire level just looked pitiful in 1st half. Suck it up guys. It's a physical game. Nobody wanted to step up and shoulder the load. Lots I saw tonight that I put on the coaching staff.

Long trip across the country, young team, not getting a good result is relatively typical. That said, the team overall is not progressing quickly this year. This was game 7, and what we know so far is:

Shake is a 2 playing the 1. For all the talent he has, he doesn't seem to have the awareness or leadership to be the dynamic floor general we've been spoiled with for the past few years with Nic Moore.

Semi is an incredible talent, but is a bit undersized on the defensive end. Still, our best player.

Sterling and Ben haven't made the "senior jump" to become the leaders we know they could be.

Tom, Harry, and DaShawn all have significant weaknesses in their games that can easily explained by the phrase "they are freshmen." They are talented and will get there but they are being asked to give more minutes right now than we would have had to ask of that talent level in the past: we aren't as deep.

Reason for concern? Maybe a little. But we all knew there would be an adjustment without having Nic, Markus, and Jordan.

Count me as concerned. A bit more than a little. That was a very beatable team that made us look poor.

There is no good way to spin this.

I have never understood the Gu love. He has not ever been a consistent player for us.

The last thing I heard on the horrible stream tv was that we made less than 50% of our FTs, 15 turnovers and 1 3pt shot made... name a team that of won with those disastrous stats...

And in Dallas, we win going away. Long trips and road games with young teams are notoriously unpredictable in college basketball.

I'm still far more concerned about the Michigan game than I am about either the USC or Boise State games.

Agree here. High character guy, sure, but just seems to not have it.

Our starters are going to have to play a lot more than expected.

Besides Hoopmanx, does anyone think he's a D-1 player at this juncture?

Well if we can't win on the road against a team who is measurably less talent than we are then...... NIT here we come.

Playing on the road isn't an excuse. Especially in a mild setting like Taco Bell Arena. Hardly an adversarial setting.

No we just went through the ,options and then at half I'm sure the coaches jumped them and we got s response.

But why an experienced team played with so little energy is beyond me.

I'm concerned about all 3. I would hope we win Boise at home but that effort level especially in the 1st half was just dumbfounding.

GU's confidence is shot. He just isn't there in mind or spirit.

I'm sure he is a fine young man and will be successful in life but he just isn't a player.
