Field goal shooting percentages:

SMU 45.0
Connecticut 30.6

Not coincidentally, SMU leads, 69-40

Sterling Brown had an "off night" shooting only 3-12 from the floor and missing his 2 FTs but does contribute 6 boards, 8 assists, a steal and 2 blocks while not committing any turnovers

I personally owe Brown and Moore apologies. They've really stepped up after those rough first few games.

Just returned from the game. Late arriving crowd that eventually put Moody at 90% full. Students showed up and were loud. Crowned tried to get into it but when we were rocking UCONN called a time out to quite things down. Plus a 20+ point lead didn't help.

Sorry, but Ollie is gone. No way he keeps his job. His team was going through the motions and made every possible mistake. They had no energy, no hustle. This is the last time we will see him on an SMU sideline.

That was a total beatdown. I don't know how Ollie makes it to next season. UCONN looked uninterested most of the night.

UConn was awful but our D had a lot to do with it. This SMU team is SO MUCH BETTER than what we saw in the early season...but they need to stay healthy. Hope Semi's injury wasn't serious. I got concerned when Elmore talked about guys tearing ligaments getting tangled in the net like he did

The Boneyard is saying the same things about UConn- uninterested, paying no attention to Ollie, coach should be fired, and, oh yes, they don't belong in such an awful conference.

Go to the Boneyard for some comic relief.
Seriously, they see the same thing we do...... A UCONN team that was over mached and when they knew they were finished ( as in at half time) they totally gave up. The second half was an exercise of SMU bleeding the clock on every possession and UCONN standing around and with their body language " let's get this over with".

Ollie can't stay. UCONN - for the sake of the league - has to make a change.

I think Shake reads ponyfans and didn't like the criticism of his 3 point shooting. 5 for 9 tonite-wide open looks all nite. UCONN did a good job of rotating on our shooters for about 8 minutes even though we were whipping the ball around the perimeter from the opening tip. Not so much after that. SMU since the Boise loss has been doing a great job moving the ball to their shooters.

The only turnover through what about 24 minutes was a cross court pass by Ben Moore that the defender made a great play on. No turnovers off the dribble other than that. SMU's starters had-count them 2 -TWO Turnovers all nite-most of the other 3 by the backups were in garbage time. I don't remember an SMU team protecting the ball that well ever

I knew UCONN was bad this year, but dear lord that was on a whole new level. The lack of energy on that side is embarrassing. The fact that we held onto the ball for 3/4ths of the game and still easily won is comical. We could have dropped 120 on those bums. Zero leadership, zero hustle, zero everything.

Also I'm not sure why they even bother coming to Moody anymore. The Uconn women could give us a better game
