Larry the cheater? They realize Haith coming from Mizzou down to Tulsa was not a lateral move.

I wonder why their coach chose the long rich tradition of Tulsa basketball and got out of Columbia...

Lot of butt hurt in that thread after all the comments about Larry and his cheating. One of their alums even noticed that we get zero write up in the DMN.

hahaha the Tulsa tears are fantastic to read. Love how we have two more local kids that they couldn't get in Landrum & Chargois. Also they say no one in Dallas cares, except for all the people that sell-out our games.

And right love they are saying LB was a cheater and his bagman, and your coach is Frank Haith lol. We went on sanctions for academic violation, not recruiting.

I think they also forget that we have been in the top 25 for four straight years and should have made the NCAA tourney the past 3 years...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Shake chose SMU over Oklahoma and Indiana. I don't remember Tulsa even being in the conversation.

Those folks are nuts. How hard is it to figure our why someone would want to leave Tulsa? Several of them say there is no excuse for losing a recruit to SMU. How about better school, better fans, better city, better media market (more attention) better facilities, and better girls? That enough of a reason?

Those are interesting posts...but what is the thing about LB and an internship for Shake?

funny I don't think Tulsa was ever in on Shake. Think it came down to us vs OU for him. Also KT recruited him and is pretty much IMO the reason we got him. Shake has mentioned his relationship with KT several times. Tulsa is delusional in asking why they can't out recruit us. We are better, in a better city, with better facilities.

That is unfair to Tulsa. Frank had to leave Miami to go to Columbia (definitely not a lateral move) to avoid being fired for the Nevin Shapiro scandal and turning around the Miami program (it was headed in a good direction and he turned it into the dumpster). It was only then that he had to high tail it out of Mizzou after using up the talent he inherited and running that program into the ground. He's like the JJ of basketball except more dishonest. Tulsa is a perfect last stop for a coach of that caliber.

Don't we owe them a tail whooping in Moody. Did not like the ESPN folks saying how these two teams like to win in each others arena.
