Bad schedule karma.

Most years Pitt, Michigan, Stanford and USC would be a good OOC schedule.

Most years UConn, Memphis and Temple would be strong in-conference opponents.

Are you really suggesting you think this team might lose to Tulane, or even not cover the likely 25 point spread?

And at home????

You are either joking, or you haven't seen a game this year. Its got to be one or the other.

I don't think we will lose - we should mop the floor with them. Should win by 30+.

My point is that this is the one game that - if we were to lose - would keep us out of the NCAA Tourney.

We could lose to any one of our other opponents and still get in - but a loss to Tulane would be devastating and would put us in NIT.

SMU considered a bubble team...

He did not suggest we could lose to Tulane, he said if we did lose to them we could be in the NIT. I disagree with him, but it is odd that people are accusing him of saying we could lose to Tulane.

Then it's a matter of seeding. If we do the above, we are a 6-7 seed. Throw in a bad loss, and we become a 9-10.

Considering the lack of respect the AAC has received from the committee since year 1, I'd count on a 9 or 10 seed regardless of how we finish. The AAC teams that make it always seem to get seeded 2-3 slots below where we think they should. Remember 2013-14 when #5 Louisville got a 4 seed after winning an AAC regular season title and the AAC tourney when we had 5 ranked teams and 4 bids.

As I said in this thread http://www.ponyfans.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=82845&start=180, no reason to get your panties in a wad. There are very few "locks" right now -- the first release of this annual column -- because there is still a lot of ball left to be played. The Bubble Watch column is not predictive like Bracketology is, it is based solely on results to date and assumes nothing about future results. Only those who could basically lose every remaining game and still be in the tourney are deemed Locks. Everyone else -- including lots of great teams (like us) -- either "should be in" based on current resume, or "have work left to do." We undoubtedly have work left to do, and Bracketology and other projections are where you go to find out if the experts think we'll take care of business and actually do that work.

We would beat Tulane with 4 players

Given our program's history with the NCAA I won't believe we are a lock until we are holding the AAC Tournament trophy. We need to keep winning. Period.

Perhaps we should try this - it will show the selection committee how good we really are...

Given the seeming parity at 10-30 this year I think we are good up until three more losses total. THEN we might be a bubble team.

If we beat Temple and Cincy this week we get a few more believers in the polls. If by some chance we can win out the regular season maybe we end up somewhere 10-15 and worthy of a really good seed.

I don't trust the cmte at all. Win out reg season or if we lose one, win the AAC tourney. Anything short of that, and I'm holding my breath.
