Ethan Chargois was dominate leading Tulsa Union to 6A Regional Title
Chargois scored 19 of Union’s 25 first-quarter points as the top-ranked Redskins rolled to an early 17-point cushion in cruising to an 80-61 victory at the Union Multipurpose Activity Center.
Union (25-0) advanced to an area title game on Friday night against either Booker T. Washington or Broken Arrow needing just one win to earn its 19th trip to state in the past 22 years.
Chargois, an SMU signee, finished with 27 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots. The Redskins led from start to finish, scoring the first six points of the game in just over a minute of play.
In the first quarter, the Redskins’ 6-foot-9 senior center hit 7 of 9 shots — including a 3-pointer — made all four of his free-throw attempts and grabbed four rebounds.
