I didn't know the score or who won while out to dinner and the bar TV had Kentucky-Georgia game on with no sound. Purposely sat with my back to it so I wouldn't see the crawl.

Put the game on about 11 pm with a pretty solid buzz and thought ok....we're screwed when Gray and Dotson couldnt miss in the first half and Meyer was playing like he was all-conference.

Stuck with it because now you just know this team won't quit.....ever.

So about 1 a.m. I get to the best part:

Seeing Kelvin's twisted face and hearing the SMU chant in the background on TV as the game ended.

Great job to the team and all who attended..

Have two of those in white...Only going to use them to wipe off the dogs paws when it rains Mañana.

More driving than Basketball but sign me up for that again tomorrow :)

PS... Thanks to whichever Ponyfan that took the lead on busting us out of the Parking garage. Not sure how they could allow both visitor exits to fail in the closed position and not even have a security guard onsite. The free parking by lifting up the shut arm was icing on my delicious cake.

We waited for the line to pay got a little shorter before we got in it. We were next to pay when the police officer came up and said he was going to open a lane up. Sure enough, he held the arm up as we exited.

I think we are just now starting to realize what a great coach we have in Jank. He has been very effective in making critical decision and adjusting to game situations/conditions. His team is obviously very well coached, disciplined and totally unselfish. This is also a credit to the kids and the type of kids we recruit. The more I see the guy in action the more impressed I am. Hopefully, he is here to stay for a long time and keep us up in the national rankings.

I may be wrong but I do not think LB made that hire.

I believe so. They did not want Brown without a backup in case he left early.

Give President Turner some credit. He put pressure on Orsini to hire Larry Brown and
I believe it was LB's decision to bring Jank and SMU wanting insurance in case Larry left
early agreed to it.

It was reported that another reason was that they were concerned with compliance issues for a Coach that had been out of the Game for decades-I thought Jank was independently interviewed for the job too

just noticed that UCONN has a lot of work to do while we rest this week

Road games at:
Temple (today)
UH (Wednesday)

UCONN's only loss in about 7 games has been to Cincy. In fact they have won 8 straight against AAC opponents excluding Top 20 Teams SMU and Cincy. The AAC schedule set up to force SMU to "cool off" 2 hot teams down the stretch on the road against UH and UCONN. Great Challenge. Get past UCONN and I don't like the chances of Memphis or Tulsa beating SMU in Moody for Ben Moore and Sterling Brown's last games

Not a bad year when we stomp in football and sweep in basketball over UH.

Could see them one more time in the tournament.

Before we worry about that, we have three more big games left in conference.

Meyer looks like he shares the same trainer as Fro.

He played very well in the first half.

Have to say this team just keeps playing its game relentlessly. Love to watch them because they are so consistent and you know they are playing all 40 minutes.

Week off couldn't come at a better time. Looked like some dead legs and slow feet in the first half yesterday.

Team has looked sluggish for the past several games. Need to rest and regroup.
