Protein, Weights and Our Boys

Postby Smulaw90 » Mon Mar 06, 2017 3:22 pm

I went back and watched the first half of the SMU game against USC and Boise St. I was curious to see what we were doing differently then, compared to now. Yes it was raining and I'm single....lol Anyway, forget the game analysis.

What really stood out was how much bigger, Shake, Jaray and Ben/Ben have become since the beginning of the season. Hercules, I mean Semi, and Sterling are pretty much the same. I think Semi has added muscle, but that's like saying Arnold Schwarzenegger added 8 lbs during his Mr. Olympia days.

But Ben Moore, Shake and Jaray have really bulked up. That's one reason you can't push them around.

Kudos to those guys for hitting the gym and eating some serious protein. And kudos to the trainers for keeping them healthy and growing. Very impressive.

I do not think our success has been as much the increase in size of the players as much as it was the decrease in size of the roster.

Mostly just this. Sure there is probably some luck involved, but I'm amazed how injury-free our season has been - at least for the key players.

So are you saying the team lost @440 pounds - mostly vegemite and barramundi?

Looked to me the difference between five individual teams on the floor vs. one team on the floor
