reynolds should grad transfer to us. That would be a really nice ingredient to drop into the mix. He would get a ton of attention instead of lost at Tulane.

Caupain was not the same player this year as he was the last two.

I agree-I was surprised he was recognized

From SMUMustangs.com:

Four Mustangs Named All-American Athletic Conference
Ojeleye Named To All-AAC First Team; Brown, Milton, Moore Earn Second Team Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (SMU/AAC) – The American Athletic Conference regular season champion SMU Mustangs had four players named to the all-conference teams. Semi Ojeleye was named to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team, while Ben Moore, Sterling Brown and Shake Milton earned second team accolades.

The four helped No.12/15 SMU to a 27-4 regular-season record including a 17-1 AAC mark. The Mustangs have won 13 straight wins and 23 in its last 24 games. SMU has held 22 of their last 24 opponents to 66 points or less. For the season, SMU ranks third in the nation in scoring defense (59.4) and field goal defense (38.5), second in rebound margin (+9.8.), sixth in scoring margin (15.2) and seventh in assist turnover ratio (1.5).

The Maywood, Illinois, native scored in double figures 24 times in the regular season, including eight games with 15 or more points. He has six double-doubles (T-9th AAC) this season.

This is the second time in program history SMU has had four players earn all-conference honors in the same season. The first was in 1956-57 (Jim Krebs, Bobby Mills, Rick Herrscher and Larry Showalter).

Top-seeded SMU plays in The American Championship quarterfinal round at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, on Friday at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT. The Mustangs will face the winner of Thursday's first-round matchup between No. 8 seed Temple and No. 9 seed East Carolina (TV: ESPN2, Radio: KAAM 770, TuneIn).

LOL a guy who average 4.5 PPG and 2.7 RPG is not getting 6th man of the year. Yes he plays nice defense, but stats matter.

Markus average 9.3 and 6.3 when he won it.

I know this is an all conference team and achievement, but Foster is the only top 6 Mustang without an honor. And he most definitely has been a key to the teams success.

Congratulations to all Mustangs to be honored and Jarrey, 9.9 PPG (52% FG made), 5.1 RPG, and 2.3 assist per games, I salute you.

Yeah good point. Hopefully he will use it as a chip on his shoulder to be a key cog in a big March run.
