Guess their team gets another "free" week out of classes.

Seriously it is disgusting. I hate Kentucky but was rooting hard for them today!!!!!

Me too... the best of really bad choices. But do seem to like Kentucky's kids better.

NCAA fiddles while NC burns all semblance of ethics and fair play.

Tough watching so many teams step up and make the big play....and hit those clutch free throws. While we are one and done.....again.

Nobody want to mention that Roy Williams didn't call a timeout at the end? Right move by him, and by Jank.

Isaac Humphries is a long time friend and former teammate of Harry and Tom, both at Australia Institute of Sport, and on the Aussies U17 national team. Humphries had a disastrous freshman year at Kentucky, highlighted by his technical foul in the closing seconds of the Texas A&M game, that gave away a game that they should have had in the bag. The UK fans were apoplectic in their dissapointment, how did this big stiff ever get a scholarship? His biggest weakness was his foot speed, he was a flatfooted plodder, playing on a team of racehorses. Any of that sound familiar? Today was the best game of Humphries short career at Kentucky, and maybe its a sign of good things going forward. He still needs alot of sprint work.

The real point I'm making is that most foriegn players need a year of adjustment, before they start to flourish. Deng Adel at Louisville is another former teammate of our Aussies, and he made a big step forward in his sophomore year. Jock Landale has been a star for St. Marys the last two seasons, but he hardly got off the bench as a freshman, and averaged just 2ppg when he did. DIfferent players develop at different paces. None of us can reliably predict how a player will turn out, and we'll never really know about Tom, but I hear that Harry is doing well at Marquette, he dropped 20 pounds in a couple of months. Harry has plenty of time left to make something out of his time in the US, he was a bad fit in the our style of play, but somewhere else he might thrive.

Roy only had 7 seconds left not 11 and was tied. If they had missed the game would have gone into overtime. And his players were not arguing over who was going to take the last shot. Not exactly the same situation.

So? Neither one of your points makes any difference. You still got to make a play at the end of the game in a short period of time

Also the Kentucky basket was with 10 seconds remaining according to ESPN Play by Play

Finally you keep parrotting this stupid statement made by a USC player: "And his players were not 'arguing over who was going to take the last shot' ". We know for a fact that SMU ran a pre-planned play that had about 5 options. If you replay it there was Shake on the drive/dish option. All 3 of our best 3 point snipers are spread out on the 3 point line-Sterling, Jarrey and Semi and Ben was available for a possible alley opp-a play we've seen many times. SMU ran a play that had at least 5 options-you can see it on replay-they weren't just fighting over who would jack up a ball on a one on one clear out-like your comment suggests

USC player had to reason to make that up and he said arguing not fighting. We may have had a pre planned play to some degree but when Semi went to go set that pick and Sterling looked like he wanted to pass it to him but could not you could sense something was wrong. From what I saw when the UNC player got the ball it was about 7 seconds left. And this time it worked for Roy Williams on other occasions it has not. But the game was tied so it was less pressure on the players as opposed to being behind. But we live and learn.
