Wichita St. can talk all they want but there is no way they are getting their Football team into the AAC. Basketball and other sports yes

Did not mean to imply they would. I just have read in the past that they were considering bringing it back.

Yeah, I think I even read somewhere that the idea of bringing a football team back has lost almost all of its steam at WSU. AAC needs to add these guys before the A10 or someone else does.c

Andy katz: reporting in next few weeks AAC will vote on whether to add WSU in all sports except football for 2018-19 season. FWIW it takes the approval of 9 of the 12 member (including Navy) to add a new member.

Oh I'd say the AAC schools could use another year to get their act together before Witchita joins, so they don't steamroll the conference in year one. UConn, Temple, Memphis, Tulsa . . . I'm looking at you!!!

Let's get that invite in the mail!

Wichita State would accept an invitation to move to the American Athletic Conference from the Missouri Valley Conference if the league decides in the coming weeks and or months to extend that offer, university sources told ESPN on Thursday.

If they don't get in we should quit the conference.

.... and go where?

Just curious on anyone's take on why a member school might vote against it?

Nobody will vote against WSU. Football schools might vote against more than 1 Basketball school to preserve possible expansion or merger with other conference schools. For example, an option to go to 16 by adding BYU, Boise, Colorado St, SDSU-or Army/Air Force

Would be excellent if they could start playing in the fall.
