Have to root for them since we laid an egg. Committee has to feel vindicated with the seed they gave us.

Yes I realize I'm being completely hypocritical from my statements before the game.

Put me in the camp of being a Jank fan. Don't know how many coaches would have had the success he did with this roster this season...and I have no problem with letting them play it out those last few seconds. USC had done a really nice job on D and a TO would have allowed them to get set. We make that last shot and Jank was a genius for not taking the TO.

Over coached

Jank pulled on the reigns and made guys play spots on floor. That is not our game. Too much structure as I think jank was over thinking.
Love me so jank. We all grow when crap happens.

over coached? Not hardley - undercoached.

I don't see what is so brilliant about playing the 6 guys you only have to play. Seems obvious. What is he supposed to do - play walk-ons? He did a good job this year managing the fouls. Thats about it.

My thoughts are he pulled back the free flow that we saw this year, for more structure.

They did what they were supposed to tonight. They won their game handily. They have also been in the tourney for several years in a row and they expect to be there. I hope that we can sustain the success we have experienced the last few years. If we can get over the hump (win a couple of tourney games) we will likely see some sustained success such as Cincy has. Then the lights won't be so bright for our guys.

We are always structured just a different offensive set. We are a deciplined team that does not play out of control non structured basketball.

The light were not to bright for the guys they just got a bad matchup against a talented long team at full strength. USC didn't have very much tournament experience either but their bench was more productive than ours which had zero points.

We were flat out unprepared for this entire game and that is on Jank. We flat out made zero adjustments on offense

You think the extra 30 minutes of bench time and the 3 6-10+ kids USC can throw at you had anything to do with that especially when 1 of your 2 6-8 kids was in major foul trouble. We just didn't get it done. Sterling's turnover, Sterling's missed free throw, Ben's missed free throw, getting outrebounded were the major reasons we lost. USC has deeper, more highly recruited players. Jank playing a "short deck" got everything possible out of these kids-we are shooting for the win at the gun in a one point loss and a 2 point loss away from 28-0. Sometimes things break bad.
