For those fans that were @ Tulsa...

I will start by saying I am as sick as anyone on this board about the outcome yesterday.

Been waiting for this moment for 6 months, watching the rankings, attending all home games, admiring this athletes.

With one missed shot, we cancelled rooms, dumped our tickets and got the ____ out of Tulsa ASAP -- Stunned.

Since graduating in '90, I have seen it all. 5 years ago I would have never thought I would see a packed Moody, a ranked team, and a program on the rise --- we have that now.

However, for those of you in the building, I am most proud of how our fans turned Tulsa into MOODY north --- I was amazingly surprised at the turnout and the engagement in the game. That is what the NCAA Tournament is supposed to feel like and you all were there to help create that atmosphere.

Mark it down as another step in our progress as a program.

yeah I thought we did accomplish something yesterday. An actual Mustang Nation was born. I never thought I'd see the day SMU dominated an NCAA Tournament crowd. I watched both games. Higher ranked P5 Baylor was embarrassingly outmatched

hopefully the school realizes how valuable a winning basketball team is for the school and alumni.

Hopefully we try and upgrade our schedule as much as we can.
If P-5's won't come to Moody, maybe try and schedule 2 neutral site games, one at the AAC and the other close to other teams home arena.

Maybe try and get a couple of big East schools on the schedule as well.

Also maybe think about playing a home and home with illionis state

How about three year deals: away-home-away with the right P-5's?

All good ideas. I hope this was just a down year for the AAC and we can get a boost in conference, but this year showed why we don't want to rely on that. And very few decent P5s are going to be willing to do a straight home-and-home. (Though I must say, Michigan and USC are making our OOC look a little better in retrospect... Pittsburg not so much.)

Do we get a "return" game at Moody against USC? I've heard both ways. If so, that will be some must watch basketball.

Absolute truth! A Baylor person looked at me yesterday during halftime and said when did this happen (meaning the huge and awesome traveling fan base)? Every age of Pony was well represented yesterday. I'm still in the stages of grief, but I'll survive! PonyUp!

Yesterday's crowd was great and proved that SMU will support our sports teams if they are given the tools to be competitive nationally. I am really proud of our fans. Now if we can just get folks to show up for football.

Looking forward to booking my tickets. Great excuse to spend Thanksgiving on an island.
