After Underwood's departure, whom should the Pokes pursue?

They predict that Jank will likely end up at OSU. They also said Jank only made 700K this year, which is flat out wrong. That is how much he made as the coach in waiting. I want to say he made about 1.7 Million.

Don't really think they go after Jank. And at this point I am not concerned about Okie State. No offense intended.

We aren't losing Jank to Stillwater oklahoma. Basketball is a different hiring dynamic than football. If the money is even there is no reason to leave to a p5 unless you get one of the legend jobs - of which there are only a handful.

We aren't going to lose Jank to money.

IMHO the only reason Jank would go anywhere is if he isn't getting the graduate transfer and shake and semi are seriously considering going pro.

Not worried at all in losing Jank to OSU.

OSU is either going to hire Doug Gotlieb or hire some mid major coach and give him another lowball contract.
Underwood had the lowest salary for any Big12 team, and they will probably do that type of contract again.

Not many poke fans on the AD holder's side anymore, the only alum who seems to like him is Boone and well Boone calls the shots in stillwater.

Holder lost OSU 33 million in his gift of a lifetime scheme.

Fair to say Big 12 Oklahoma State is not worried about you either :)

Boone decidedly does not call the shots in Stillwater. Why is Gundy still head coach with 2 wins over OU in 11 years?

BRAD VIBES: Underwood came to believe that OSU didn't value basketball as much as it should

We'll just hope Jank is hearing these things, too. I think teams'll make a run at Jank, but I'd be a little embarrassed to lose him to Oklahoma State.

Boone 100% calls the shots, without Boone osu would be nothing.
who do you think paid for that 1946 NC championship?

If Boone didnt call the shots, Holder would have been fired years ago, (ford contract fiasco, and the gift of a lifetime fiasco)
Holder has cost osu probably over 40 million.

If that is true, why did Dixon leave Pitt to go to TCU, as their basketball sucked. Being an alum might have been the only deciding factor.

what about Gundy? If Boone called the shots 100 percent as you say, then I doubt he would have been exchanging barbs with Mike in public. Boone has wanted him out Stillwater for years now. The record against OU is infuriating to many Oklahoma State alums yet Gundy remains despite Boone's influence.

Should also be noted in reference to the article above: Berry Tramel is an OU alum who probably is not an objective source of information regarding the internal politics of the Oklahoma State Athletic department.

Why would you be embarrassed? What is their budget compared to ours? Big 12 school vs a medium sized private with 6000 undergrads? We are not Duke or USC. Resources are not infinite at SMU and the AAC is not the Big 12 even by a longshot.

one difference is apparently Okie St isn't relying on the Deep Pockets to subsidize Coaching salaries like SMU is forced to do. Seems pretty short sighted to be paying below market for a P5 school which gets about 40 million in Conference/NCAA revenue

Thanks David Miller & Co.
