"The men's tournament will be in Orlando in 2018, and the league is looking at Orlando being an anchor site that gets a set number of years in a rotation. The other candidates being discussed for the rotation include Hartford, Connecticut -- which has hosted two of the past three seasons -- and Tulsa, Oklahoma, which just hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament and boasts at least five schools within driving distance."

Would happily take Tulsa. Can drive up for the weekend if SMU advances.

5 schools within driving distance is key...they saw how many fans we brought to Tulsa. Add Wichita St and it would be a great tournament. I think it would be a good spot.

Why not have the AAC at the AAC????? Think of the marketing opportunity.

Disappointing that Memphis and especially New Orleans aren't in the conversation. Again, why is Tulane in this conference if we can't even leverage their amazing city?!?

There's also this cool place called Dallas. Wonder if they considered that little hamlet.

Dallas, NOLA, and Tulsa in that order for me!

What I keep hearing is that there is a lot of cost and limited revenue which is why Dallas has chosen not to be in the mix.

Yeah, to my knowledge, SMU has zero interest in hosting.

Memphis seems like the best option for a central location. Kind of wish they were in the mix.

Tulsa would be great for us though, compared to the other options.

The school and the local CVB have to be willing to put up money to host. SMU isn't doing that. Kinda surprised Memphis isn't mentioned, but would gladly take Tulsa.

No brainer, NOLA. It's the ONLY positive having Tulane in our conference.

None of the above. Our conference fanbases do not travel for conference tournaments. The local team loses and attendance drops off a cliff.

The only answer is to have it in a city with sizable alumni bases from multiple schools. It's too bad neither Dallas nor Houston have any interest in hosting.

Spread it out and the higher seed gets home court. Reward the regular season winners and have actual fans in the stadium. It's really not that hard.
