FWIW No confirmation, but a KU friend of mine is saying that Dwight Coleby is likely to transfer, why they added Jack Whitman. He said its not a done deal, but he has heard tons of rumblings. Would be huge as well.

Odd for a grad transfer to have two years eligibility remaining.

New grad-transfer Akoy Agau from Georgetown and before that Louisville. Fringe Top 100 guy out of HS.

I think he is the best case scenario. Rooks doesn't seem very athletic and won't match our style.

Agreed. McIntosh or Agau seem like the two best available fits. And maybe Coleby will come available as well.

If Agau wants PT and a chance at the Tourney SMU should be near the top of his list.

Agau has two years of eligibility. That will likely leave us with no 2018 class without transfers--but with the way things have been, a transfer in next year's class is likely.

Confusing post above. What does that have to do with SMU?

PLE, how familiar are you with Agau? I know nothing about his game.

I assume the poster is insinuating it could a certain North Texas State player...

I was confused because I have never heard of promotion of drug possession.

Here's his high school video-warning- he won 4 state championships at the A level in Nebraska-which in Texas would be very small schools. I don't know about Nebraska classifications though

4.5 ppg 4.3 ppg at Georgetown in 15 minutes per game. Translates to a pretty good rebounder with more minutes. EXTREMELY good free throw shooter (85%) which seems odd based on his lack of offensive basketball numbers-in fact 57 of his 144 points came from Free Throw Line. You'd think a kid that could hit FTs could score from the field-maybe he's still a developing project. Relatively high blocks per game with .9 blocks per game which projects significantly better than Ben Moore's 1.2 per games in 17 more minutes per game. Already following UCF and Tampa coaches. He could be that rebounder, rim protector, defender who would fit and complement our strong offensive lineup. Can run the floor well. Athletically kind of reminds me of a smaller Yanick Moreira

I am not extremely familiar with Agau. Just what I have read. I know he is pretty athletic and has a good frame.

I see from his stats he only played over 20+ minutes 9 times last year and in all but 1 of those games he had at least 6 rebounds. And in the last 6 he played over 20 minutes he had at least 8 rebounds in each game during Big East play. He seems like a very good rebounder considering his minutes. His offensive game is hard to tell, but has efficient numbers and a surprisingly high FT percentage.

I think he would be a good get considering we don't need an elite scorer/offensive player, but a solid rebounder and defender who can run the floor. He seems like he would be at least that.

I hope we can do something soon because UC just picked up another big guy. They will eat us up inside next year without some big guys on our side.

Getting really nervous about this transfer deal. We will be short even with a transfer and with Semi - and right now it looks like it could be neither of those. I know ....trust in jank etc....but as an outsider this is just feeling really late. You can have great guards - but they will never get the ball without some post presence.
