lol. What an absolute crock.

Please tell me the distinction b/w paying a recruit prior to signing his letter of intent and the payment of a recruit after he's on campus? You don't think the conversations might've gone like this?

"Look. We can't give you the $$$ now but once you sign its all gravy."

"Sounds good coach! See you in August!"

But don't let simple common sense get in the way of defending one of the most deplorable and corrupt institutions in the nation.

They are different Level violations plus what you just described is a recruiting inducement-a promise to provide future extra benefits if a recruit signs a Letter of Intent with your school. Its the promise that is the violation because it induces action by the recruit
