The Big 12 is significantly better than the AAC. Top to bottom, ACC and Big 12 are best conferences. Big 12 had a down year and still sent 60% of its conference to the Big dance. That being said, I believe our program has a lot more to offer than TCU. Obviously they've improved, but they have been the Big 12 bottom feeder ever since they joined the conference. They've won 16 conference games since joining the conference, and half of those were last season.

It's got to be about playing time. It was for Semi and Boldin is was buried just like Semi. At either school he sits a year and learns the system. After that he probably (still) sees himself as one and done...whether he actually is or not. So he's got to get max exposure as "the man." That's the sell.

It would be great to get a big of his caliber and even better to snatch him from Cowtown's grip.

Playing time wont be that much of a distinguishing factor, though. Bolden is a legit NBA prospect- 6'11, athletic, with a 7'5 wingspan. He'll play pretty much anywhere not named Duke or Kentucky. Neither TCU or SMU is recruiting bigs out of HS who would play over Bolden

Classic wouldn't be shocked if the leaked report, before he had fully made his decision, but was leaning towards leaving allowed Duke to talk him into staying. Kid always had a tough time making a decision.

Williams concerns me. In an article regarding his transfer his coach mentions he finally practiced for 2 weeks straight for the first time since he arrived (2 years ago). Mentioned "personal" reasons. Trying to find the article to post

Yeah. Read that. I'll take Brooks and the best grad-transfer big available. Let's roll with that.

I agree regarding Brooks. Freshman or not make it work. Add a stop gap grad transfer to soften the impact.

Yeah I dug up some interesting stuff on Dante Williams, I posted this somewhere.

Dug up he was defensive player of the year in his district as a Senior (and I think as a Jr.). Averaged 10.1 PPG 8.7RPG and 3.6BPG as a Sr. at Arlington Bowie (6A). Had some decent offers out of HS: KSU, Purdue, UH, TCU.

He redshirted because of a foot injury and ended up having surgery on it in December of that season he redshirted. Foot injures on bigs scare me.

KSU coaches liked him. They talk about how he was such a good rim protecter in practice and hard to post up and get around because of his length. Said he has good athleticism with his size too. Primary worry to have about him is that he is unproven, but the potential is there.

I like his potential if you miss on Garrison Brooks, to go along with a Grad-Transfer Big.

Garrison Brooks could end up at Auburn w/ his father taking Chad Dollar's spot on the AU staff. Unless MSU puts transfer restrictions.
