Jimmy Whitt

Was reading up on Whitt and saw this on Arkansas' official site after he committed to them-- he has a 7'3" wingspan?! That's insane. I know Whitt was known for his defense in HS, and if that's anywhere close to accurate I can see why. Jimmy, Shake, and Jarrey will give us one of the best backcourts in the country next year, especially defensively.

Can't be...but it made it onto their official site.

I know Shake measured 6'6" with a 7' wingspan at one the camps last summer and people were raving about that

Ya I was about to say Shake's isnt that long. Wow regardless that means its up there for his height. So much unknown next year. Part of the fun and part of the madness

Love Jimmy Whitt. Soo much potential. I want to say on a draft website he was measured with a 6'10 wingspan at a camp, which is still really nice for a guard. Either way he is very long and athletic.

If he can become an above average catch and shoot 3 point shooter to go along with his pull up, defense, and slashing ability he will be fantastic guard for us.

A backcourt of Shake, Whitt, McMurray, with Jarrey on the wing could be lethal. Not to mention if Douglas is ready to go.

I don't think people realize how go both transfers starting next season are going to be. Whitt is a very skilled and athletic slasher who can create his own shot. McMurray is an assassin with NBA talent who went unnoticed on a bad team as a freshman.

meh.. Shake has the tools to be a lockdown defender, but not the quickness

Shake's length covers most quickness deficiencies. He's a PG that could average 6 boards next year too, which is elite.

Is McMurray available in the Fall - or does he have to sit until January?

Believe he's eligible as soon as the semester is over in December.

I think he can start playing as soon as the fall semester ends.
