I'm curious why TCU though. I'm guessing conference affiliation helps.

He really is. Good salesman.

We need a Spring Signing period decommit or a transfer then just all in on closing on Maxey, Harris, Harmon and Timme/Smith.

Since 2016, TCU has out recruited us in basketball for high school recruits.

I still don't understand how we haven't improved our recruiting. We have relied on transfers stemming from LB

I 100% blame Big12 vs AAC for that. That said I'm confident in jank to get better results than Dixon so over time this will swing our way. TCU will always be 2nd tier at best in Big 12 basketball and we will always be 1st tier in the AAC. conference championships, tournament bids, and center of campus attention over time will take us where we need to be.

Well 2016 was like just a few days ago and we beat them out for Everett Ray also way back in 2016. So solid post.

Just takes one stud to get the momentum going. I.e. Maxey

Perhaps playing time and Odds Maxey comes here were also variables. I could be totally wrong- but doubt it was just B12 vs AAC.

For all we know TCU could have convinced him that we would be on another probation soon due to certain asst coaches having been on our staff...

Jahmar Young was a good talent eval by the staff. He has all the athleticism you could ever want from a big. Just uber raw and skinny. Good news is we will return all 3 bigs from this season and add Isiaha Mike so he won’t be asked to play much if at all as a frosh while he develops his game and body. If Young puts in the work he could be a good player for us. It’s good to take a project big man whose a risk but with a high ceiling when you have several other bigs you can rely on. If he develops found that diamond in the rough and if he doesn’t he will likely transfer after 2 years and you had plenty of other bigs.

Would not be upset at all with a class of him and Feron Hunt. Hunt is exactly what we needed in this class.

Is Young still growing? I’d love to see the 6’11” version in two years.

Hunt is so smooth. I just love how he gets to the hoop.

Wouldn’t shock me if Young still is growing. Even at around 6’9 with that athleticism and put 20-25lbs on him he could be a load to handle on the glass.

Hunt is a special athlete. Gets me all excited to imagine him and Isiaha Mike on the court at the same time. The size and athleticism would be fun. Love the roster we are putting together going forward. We really are only missing a Maxey or another Shake type impact player.
