since there is no news on Kaden Archie- have we lost him as well? Do we have anybody recruiting top players?

Apparently we are not in the running for Archie anymore. 247 shows him as a major TCU lean. Not sure who our replacement options are. I'm guessing we will try to pick up another transfer player after the season. Definitely seems like our recruiting has slipped from a couple of years ago.

This cycle was never expected to be a big one. We're not done yet either and Archie has not made any decision yet. Maybe we get one more maybe not. Next year is the important one. We are chasing better players too... so don't expect to get them all.

The good news? Word is that all four freshman will contribute this season.

And here is how we stand

Last season for Gu and probably Shake
1.5 years with McMurray
2 each with Agau and Foster
3 each with Whitt and I Mike
4 Frosh who are looking pretty darn good.

We're done with having a 6 man rotation.

Five-star guard Anfernee Simons said close to 30 schools have reached out since decommitting from Louisville. Did in-homes with South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida State, Florida, Dayton and SMU.

If he can't spell his first name correctly I'd be at least a little bit suspect.

Archie is announcing tomorrow. Down to SMU and TCU. This one is huge.

The choice between the two schools makes this a huge one. Losing an important recruit is one thing.
Beating the frogs at everything is entirely another.

I really hope we get this guy because it would suck having to play against the toads for 4 years knowing they beat us out for him.

I really wanted Tyler Davis a few years ago but since we don't play A&M the sting of the loss wore off a lot faster.

I’ve wanted Archie to SMU more than any other player we have targeted in this class. He is perfect for our system. Rolling out Archie, Mike and Ray next season at forward would be elite. We beat TCU for Ray this time last year, let’s do it again.

As much as this hurts we’ve got to remember 2019/Maxey is the priority.

This went down the same way Ray did last year, just with more fanfare. Make no mistake, TCU is now our biggest threat in hoops recruiting.
