Every jersey number has a story. Some have family history, like an heirloom past down from generation to generation. Others are an homage to a favorite player. Then sometimes it's just purely aesthetic.

SportsDay spoke with the members of the SMU men's basketball team to get the stories behind the digits on their backs. Here's what they shared.
