The Mob Was Outstanding Tonite

Postby Stallion » Fri Nov 10, 2017 10:58 pm

that was January/February level of energy. Great job-you don't see that atmosphere in Texas in November. They were all there early too unlike season ticket holders. Took it to a higher level

Yes they were excellent! That kinda energy for a November game is remarkable and commendable.
I’m sure the team was appreciative..... UMBC must be thinking - dang- why can’t we get that kinda home support

Great job Mob!

Crowd was a little late with practice, but much better crowd than early last season.

I did notice that Shake had to ask them to get loud. But when he did they responded.

I don't frequent the Miller Club, but am curious if anyone in there announces that it's 15 minutes to tip or 10 minutes to tip or anything like that? Seems that place is always packed pregame but they are generally late getting to their seats.

Thought the crowd was great last night for a Friday night in November against a non-familiar opponent - probably better than 90% of the crowds in the country this weekend.

Thanks, good to hear. Maybe they need to push that announcement up then!

They close the joint down so there's nothing to do. And don't open it up again until halftime.

Understood - my point is to consider closing it earlier with the result being having those in their red seats and floor seats by tip off. Those fill up (for the most part) a lot better than they used to, but not until the game has started. The rafters were more populated than the floor/red seats during intros.

Understand they have to tread lightly with the high dollar donors and "forcing" anything, just saying it would be nice if they were in their seats at tip, that's all.

They close down the boulevard 30 minutes before kickoff and it does a good job of getting people to the football games. They should do the same thing for basketball but maybe only 10 minutes before tip since it is closer.

W was in his seat for intros and stayed until the end. Our High dollar donors should follow suit.

He's awesome. I'm always a little embarrassed when he walks out to his seat a few minutes before intros and it's completely empty all around him. Love how regularly he attends and that they are showcasing that on the new recruiting site.
