Would love to know the last time a true freshman scored 38 in his first 2 games.

Easily the best 2 games from a SMU B-ball freshman I’ve ever seen.
Once this guy gets in shape and his body right .... he will be a force.

...just checking in to say that I'm not concerned that Ethan Chargois was only a 3 star. I know SMU will never be any good though with these leftovers

also be patient with William Douglas-he's a little skittish right now but I studied this guy in pregame. His shot is so smooth that once he calms down its going to be hard for the ball not to drop. Just perfect shooting stance

the only guy that I can think of-maybe- is Ira Terrell-he was a superstar as a freshman

averaged 19.4 points 14.1 rebounds as a true freshman but he couldn't shoot from the outside like that-beautiful form for a big guy

Showing lots of promise and he is winded. Will be nice to have one more body in there to give him a breather.

What other colleges recruited him?

What has he been doing the past two months? Shouldn't he be in better shape?

he is in much better shape. He was pretty much a marshmellow heading toward a butterball before his High School Senior year. You could see he dropped some weight by playoff time and he must of worked hard to get where is now. Hopefully, all our nutrition staff can take it from here

Ethan I think will struggle defensively against quality bigs, but his touch is outstanding.

The shot Douglas hit kind of shows you his stroke - in and out and up and back in. He looked a lot more comfortable in game 2 than in game 1, hopefully that continues...

It will be interesting to see his ball skills. Bigs will have to come out to respect the shot. Semi would blow buy guys running out on him. What will Ethan do?

Douglas is going to be a player. He has a real pretty shooting stroke and he is quick. Once he settles down this year he will contribute and once he packs on some weight and gets an offseason under him I expect he is a guy who could take a big jump forward.

Chargois is already a good player and could become a monster for us as he develops his body and overall game. He is so talented and has size.

Things are moving a little too fast for Douglas right now. It will slow down for him and his talent will take over.
